Summer is on the horizon, and during this season in Jackson Hole, the adventures and activities are endless. Iconic events are not to be missed, from the Jackson Hole Rodeo to Snow King Concert Series, Teton County Fair to Grand Teton Music Festival, and warm weather adventures beckon, from embarking on a whitewater rafting excursion or wildlife tour to hiking and biking our abundance of trails.
But there are some activities that most visitors miss, as they are a little lesser known but provide a one-in-a-lifetime experience. Here are three of those activities:
1. Wildlife Sightings at Sunrise or Sunset
Whether with a guided tour or on a self-guided scenic drive, sunrise and sunset are both spectacular opportunities to encounter an abundance of regional wildlife. Many animals are more active during these times of day, with fewer crowds and less traffic. Three of our top locations are Moose-Wilson Road, Schwabacher Landing and Antelope Flats
2. Paddleboarding in Grand Teton National Park
Our accommodations are centrally located in Teton Village and the Aspens in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, allowing for easy access to seasonal activities in Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Our full service vacation rental and property management office is located eight miles from downtown Jackson, Wyoming.
3. Scenic Float Trips on the Snake River
Most people are familiar with whitewater rafting - a popular summer activity on the Snake River - but less are aware of the scenic float, which offers a different, arguably better perspective. Scenic floats afford the opportunity to slow down and view wildlife along the riverbanks, as well as learn about the region and its history from your knowledgeable guide.
