One of our local staff members Joe recently put together the perfect itinerary for catching the iconic Grand Teton sunrise. Read on for his tips along with recommendations for a truly memorable morning in Jackson Hole.
Where To See The Sunrise In Jackson Hole
Start out the morning by waking up at 4:30am and driving to Schwabacher landing. This might seem early to most, but it is definitely worth it! As you travel North out of town, you'll get to watch the Tetons come to life as the day begins to unfold. If you're staying in one of our rentals situated in Teton Village, you'll want to take Moose-Wilson road which will also afford you ample wildlife viewing opportunities and a tranquil landscape.
Make your way down the winding road to the parking lot and take a brisk walk to an inviting seating area along the Snake River. Here, the calm water reflects the towering mountains, creating a picture-perfect moment. If you're lucky, you may be joined by a flock of ducks or even a moose! As the sun rises, casting a golden hue across the landscape, take a moment to soak in the beauty and tranquility of the morning.
After you watch the sunrise, head back in town to grab a craft cup of joe at Snake River Roasting Café. The iced dirty horchata is a local favorite! Then head over to D.O.G. (down on glen) for some of the best breakfast burritos in town. The rest of the day is full of endless possibilities! Whether you choose to explore more of the natural beauty surrounding you or simply relax and enjoy the vibrant local scene, you're sure to have an unforgettable day.
