Jackson Hole Activities

Life is grand in Jackson Hole, with summer just getting underway.  If you haven’t booked your summer visit to Jackson Hole, there is still time.  Whether you are looking for an adventurous, long family weekend, or a peaceful nature retreat, we still have a variety of lodging properties available, along with a must-do list for your trip. Here is a (short) list of the great things people love to do when visiting Jackson Hole in the summer.

Spending a day on the water in Grand Teton National Park.

No, we don’t have swim up pools bars and cabanas, but we do have stunning mountain lakes at the base of the Teton Mountains, and they offer the perfect place for a summer picnic.

SUP (stand up paddleboards) have also become really popular and are available for rent.

Get Western.

The cowboy culture arrived in Jackson Hole with the first setters in the early 1900’s.  Do not miss the Jackson Hole Rodeo if you are visiting Jackson Hole in the summer. You can also check out a live, old west reenactment, known as the Jackson Hole Shoot Out, on the Town Square Monday thru Saturday.  If that isn’t enough, plan a day in the Teton Mountains on horseback with a variety of trips and guide services available.

Adventure in Teton Village.

Downhill mountain biking in Teton Village has really taken off with great trails for any age and ability.

You can also treat the kids to some fun on the bungee jump, rock climbing, disc golf, or have them cool off in the pop up jets on The Commons. Teton Village also has a brand new Ropes Course and Drop Tower.

Attend a free concert.

There are several places to check out free live outdoor music when visiting Jackson Hole. JH Live, Concert on the Commons, and Music on Main all bring great weekly concerts to the area.

Go fly fishing.

The Snake River is a fantastic fishery for fly anglers of all abilities. Spin casting is popular on the many lakes in the area.

Our offices are located right next door to Westbank Anglers, and they would be happy to give you some pointers and even take you on a guided trip.

So, whether this is your first trip to Jackson Hole, or you're a regular visitor, you'll find lots to do during the glorious summertime in the Grand Tetons!
