Join Slow Food in the Tetons and Central Wyoming College for a day dedicated to food education and celebration. The Farm To Fork Festival is a family friendly, all-day event at the Center for the Arts to celebrate food, farms and community. Come eat, learn and get inspired to create a healthier, more sustainable food system.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4TH

Festival Kickoff Dinner at Trio American Bistro in Jackson
Join Slow Food in the Tetons and Central Wyoming College for an unforgettable harvest dinner prepared by chef and co-owner Paul Wireman featuring locally grown and foraged ingredients. Each course introduced by the farmer or producer of the food. 6pm appetizers, 6:30pm dinner.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5TH

FARMERS MARKET

The final farmers market of the season on the lawn at the Center for the Arts. Come shop the fall harvest and stock up for the off season. Prepared food options will also be available at the market from 1:30pm - 4pm.

Meet at the Information Tent for a guided tour of the market where you’ll meet our local farmers and food makers. Cost: free

MORNING WORKSHOPS

Fermenting 101 ~ Sauerkraut: Learn a brief history of fermentation, and then dive deeper into a hands-on experience making sauerkraut. All participants will leave with a jar of kraut to take home and ferment. Families welcome. Kids 4 and under free. Cost: $20, limit 20 people, sign-up required.

Tips for Gardening in the Tetons: Join Huidekoper Ranch manager Brent Tyc to learn about Brent’s vegetable growing operation in Wilson, WY and discover  tricks to high altitude gardening. All participants will leave with ready to plant seeds for next year. Cost: $10, limit 20 people, sign-up required

Apple Pressing and Cider Making: Press, taste, and learn about making cider using Western Wyoming apples with Ian McGregor from Farmstead Cider. Families welcome (Kids 4 and under free). Cost: $20, limit 25 people, sign-up required.

What the Heck Do I do With This? Creating delicious meals from seasonal ingredients: Overwhelmed by unfamiliar ingredients at the Farmer's Market? Wondering how to put them all together? This class is for you. Using local, seasonal food (TBD!) provided by Teton farms in this hands-on workshop with Sue Muncaster, participants will create a full meal from simple ingredients with simple kitchen appliances.. Cost: $10, limit 20 people, sign-up required

12:30PM - 1:30PM | FREE
FARM-TO-TABLE COMMUNITY LUNCH

Bring the family and join us for a free picnic lunch. The meal will be sourced from local farms, cooked by local chefs, and served by our amazing Slow Food volunteers. We’ll serve lunch inside the Center for the Arts Lobby and eat lunch on the center for the arts lawn (in the open sunshine or under the big tent) so feel free to bring a blanket or a chair. Also, bring a plate and a fork (but don’t worry — we’ll have extra if you forget).

Peruvian Cuisine Cooking Class: A hands-on Peruvian cooking class with a local twist led by chef Gustavo Suclla. The exact menu will be determined by the available local and seasonal ingredients. Cost: $20, limit 16 people, sign-up required.

A story of a Small Farm: Discover how Andy and Sue Heffron came to own and operate Purely By Chance Farm in Alta, WY and hear how they’ve opted out of the industrial food system toward simpler and healthier lifestyle. Cost: free, limit 20 people, sign-up required.
