What Wildlife Can I See in Jackson?

The greater Yellowstone ecosystem is home to nearly 500 species, so sightings are always exciting and different. Keep your eyes open for moose, elk, bison, foxes, and deer, as well as eagles, hawks, owls, and otters. With a little luck, you may even catch a glimpse of wolves or bears.

Moose-Wilson Road

If you’re looking to see wildlife from the comfort of your car, take the 8 mile scenic drive through Moose-Wilson Road, which stretches between Teton Village and the small town of Moose. The road winds through wetlands and ponds, making it a haven for moose in the fall. Beavers, blue herons, and blue jays also frequent the area, so bring your camera and enjoy the ride.
