Rendezvous Mountain Rentals strongly suggests our guests consider the benefits of travel insurance when making travel plans. Vacations are supposed to be a wonderful experience, but sometimes surprises can happen and unfortunately it can be quite costly when they do occur. With the expense of travel these days, it is wise to consider protecting your valuable vacation investment with travel insurance.

Due to the nature of vacation rentals, there is a stricter cancellation policy than with a hotel.  Vacation rentals are individually owned private residences and once a property has been reserved and taken off the market, our property management company is contractually bound to pay the homeowner for the reservation regardless if it is occupied or not.  Rendezvous Mountain Rentals policy is as follows:

Cancellations made 45 days prior to arrival date (90 days for the Winter Holiday Season) will be charged a one night handling fee per accommodation and the balance of the deposit will be returned. Cancellations made within 45 days of the arrival date (90 days for the Winter Holiday Season), will forfeit all deposits and payments unless the accommodation is re-rented for all or part of the unused nights that were reserved.

Before You Go

Are you worried about an older parent? Travel insurance will keep you from losing your vacation investment if you need to cancel for a covered reason. Trip cancellation reimburses 100% of vacation costs for unused, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you are prevented from taking your trip due to a covered reason including sickness, injury or death for you, your traveling companion or family member. Other trip cancellation occurrences include involuntary termination of employment, extension of the school year, or armed service leave relocation.  If any of these reasons are of concern for you or your family, travel insurance is definitely a worthwhile investment.

During Your Trip

What about getting hurt on your vacation? Travel insurance pays 150% of trip costs if your vacation is interrupted due to an injury. They will also provide reimbursement for the additional transportation cost to return home or rejoin your group.  Another valuable consideration is the 24 hour emergency and roadside assistance service included in all policies. This is a great comfort for our guests, as most folks plan on doing a fair bit of driving when visiting Wyoming and the National Parks.

Coming Home

Travel insurance delivers peace of mind when you have encountered a problem during your vacation, even after you return home.  Upon filing a claim, you will receive a customer service representative who will work with you from start to finish, assuring a hassle free-experience.
