November is a special time around Jackson as the ski season is almost here!

Though the color of the leaves may be fading, there’s a special beauty in the Jackson Hole valley with the snow-capped mountains as a backdrop.  We want to invite you to start your holiday season by spending Thanksgiving with us -  in the mountains!

Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

Before enjoying your Thanksgiving stuffing and holiday turkey, why not join the community in the 27th annual 5k Turkey Trot? Hosted by the Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation, the race begins at 9:00 am. There’s even a Lil’ Gobblers Run for ages 10 and under beginning at 8:40 am. The race starts at the Recreation Center located at 155 East Gill Street. Pre-register for just $10.

Thanksgiving Buffet at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill

For several years, the Silver dollar Bar and Grill has been hosting an amazing Thanksgiving buffet. You’ll get all the trimmings and won’t go away hungry! This is a very popular meal and reservations are required. Call (800) 322-2727 to reserve your space.

Opening Day on the Slopes

It’s time for the 2019/2020 Winter Season to begin! Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opens Saturday, November 28th. Grab your skis, snowboard, and boots and get ready for a beautiful day in the mountains! 

Lighting of the Square

The antler arches on each corner of the Town Square are impressive anytime, but on November 29th the antlers, along with the majestic trees in the Square, are transformed into a spectacular display of twinkling lights! Come downtown beginning at 5:00 pm for hot chocolate and cookies and then help count down to the flipping of the switch at 5:30 pm.
