Everyone wants to ring in the New Year in style, and that is exactly what happens when you celebrate New Year’s Eve in Jackson Hole. From firework celebrations, to live music and special dinners, there are many memorable ways to welcome 2016. Here are a few ideas for those visiting Jackson Hole this holiday season.

Teton Village offers fun for the entire family. After a great day on the slopes, grab an appetizer and your favorite après ski beverage at one of the many restaurants in the Village, then head to the base of the resort to watch the Glow Worm parade. There is nothing cuter than 100 kids, all under three feet tall, skiing with glow sticks. The Glow Worm Parade starts at 5:30 and is followed by the employee parade at 6:00. Jackson Hole ski and snowboard instructors put on a great show as they weave their way down Après Vous Mountain. The celebratory firework show over Teton Village is a grand finale not to be missed!

The Kids Ranch is offering a special “Kids Night Out” on December 31st for children ages 4-18. Special activities include a pizza party, indoor/outdoor games, movies and sledding. Reservations are required. The cost is $100 per child and runs from 6-10 pm.

For live music in Teton Village, the famous Mangy Moose Saloon is hosting a bash with the popular local band “One Ton Pig”, featuring Tony Furtado. The Gondi Gala, which is a formal celebration at the top of the Bridger Gondola in the Couloir Restaurant, will feature the band “Whiskey Morning”. The popular Teton Village hot spots Il Villaggio Osteria and The Spur will offer some extra New Year’s Eve flare to their wonderful dinners.

If you want to venture into the town of Jackson, the Snow King Resort will have a torchlight parade and firework display in the early evening. The Wort Hotel is planning a special dinner with party favors and live music with “Major Zephyr” in their newly remodeled Silver Dollar Bar. If you want to dance your way into 2016, the bars in town will feature a variety of local music. Town Square Tavern will have the local six-piece funk band “Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons” and the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar will have “Beyond Control”, playing country favorites.

If you are simply too tired from enjoying all your snow activities, a nice early dinner may be in order. We recommend you make a reservation at any of Jackson Hole’s fine restaurants upon your arrival to the area. This will ensure you get a table at the time you want on this busy night. Then you can get a good night’s sleep and be first in the tram line for fresh tracks on January 1st. Whatever you decide, you can’t go wrong with any of these great choices. From all of us here at Rendezvous Mountain Rentals, we wish you and yours a safe and Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you in 2016!
