With the town square lighting complete, now comes the opening of our local ski areas! Both Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee  have just announced opening day will be Thursday, December 1st. Snow King Resort will open Saturday, December 3rd. Skiers and snowboarders were delighted with  a snow storm that brought almost 18 inches of snow Thanksgiving weekend. Nothing puts people in the mood for the holidays in Jackson Hole more than fresh snow everywhere.

From Santa visits, to Glow Worm Parades there are many memorable ways to spend the holidays in Jackson Hole. If you are visiting Jackson Hole in early December, make sure you plan a trip to town and a stop at the Wort's for one of their festive holiday events.  They will have something for everyone. Kids will surely enjoy the gingerbread house decorating and adults love an Ugly Sweater party in the Silver Dollar Bar.  Santa will be visiting the Town Square each evening from December 15-24.  Bring the kids to enjoy some hot cocoa and get a chance to tell the Big Guy your wishes under the glittering antler arches.  Make time to shop local and visit all the amazing stores in downtown Jackson.

Teton Village offers fun for the entire family and is offering a packed schedule of events called the Holiday Roundup.  From December 24 to January 1 you can do everything from stargazing to cookie decorating with the family.  Festive events will also be happening with the opening of the new Sweetwater Gondola.  There is an opening event scheduled for December 17.  The most popular holiday event takes place New Year's Eve.  After a fun day on the slopes, grab a quick appetizer, then head to the base area to watch the festivities.  The children's Glow Worm parade, adult  Torch Light parade and an awesome firework display take place in the early evening.

New Year's Eve features music and parties of all varieties in Jackson Hole.   You can make a reservation at any of Jackson Hole’s finest restaurants.  Live music is always on hand at the Pink Garter Theater, The Mangy Moose Saloon and The Town Square Tavern.  However, don't stay up too late so you can enjoy the skiing and snowboarding.

We hope to see you soon this winter season and from everyone here at Rendezvous Mountain Rentals we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
